The future in perspective
The pilot event of Bilaad Development Trust tagged “Gem Hunt – The Future in Perspective” took place on Tuesday 14th February 2023 at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center. Hundreds of young people across Nigeria enthusiastically called to make enquires and subsequent registrations. Following stage evaluation of prospective contestants (personal and 3rd party sponsored), 35 submissions met requisite criteria for participating in the finals, out of which 16 were picked as finalists.
The pilot event also provided a platform for entrepreneurs across different industries to showcase their products and services in a first of its kind Brand Fashion Show.
Additionally, experts in finance, the construction value chain, public sector, and academia participated in a roundtable discussion on the housing sector in Nigeria. Ideas were cross-pollinated whilst solutions were proffered on viability and sustainability in addressing the housing deficit.
